What is Travel?
Travel is the motion of individuals between different distant geographic locations. Travel can take place by feet, bike, car, plane, train, boat or other modes, with or without gear, and could be one-way or round-trip. Travel in modern times has become much faster and more rapid than ever before, and the “fast track” to travel is the internet. With all the methods of transportation available today, it seems that more people are able to get from point A to point B in the blink of an eye.
The modern day traveler depends on various modes of transport to get from one place to another. Although train and plane travel is fast, convenient, and relatively inexpensive (compared to land and air travel), a traveller’s holiday can also be made much more enjoyable by travelling by bike or in a car, taking a cruise or flying to somewhere unknown. Traveling is an experience shared by millions of people all over the world, regardless of where they are going or how long they are travelling. It would be wrong to say that travel is only a matter of crossing the physical boundaries of a country or even of a continent. It is actually an act of understanding the world and putting oneself in an adventure-filled situation.
Travel is not a matter of geography, and it is not static. In fact, the process of travelling is a constantly growing experience. With the modern age of technology and travel, the world is becoming a smaller place, and this is especially true for the global travel. While there are still many routes to travel around the world, the modern traveler can choose from different means of travelling and stay at any given point in time in the region of the globe that they are travelling to. This means that a person can experience the beauty and mystique of different regions of the world while travelling to and from it.
